Once again,it has been awhile. The shop is buisier than I could ever imagine. Most nights are past 7:00 pm.Success at last. cool eh?

Eggs are hatching and we are getting eggs every day.We hatched out two Elongateds as well as six Grandis, both our first hatches for those species. Our Triporcatus eggs are looking great as are the Nicaraguan Sliders. We just hope our Callagurs and Orlitia cooperate. smileNo eggs yet.The North American woods are gravid and rooting around as are a bunch of others.I pumped out the Pinkbelly pond to find about fifteen full of eggs:heheshockedne of our Goldenthreads has eggs as well. The Texas Maps are breeding but no eggs as of yet,but the Southern Painteds are starting to lay now.We got our first clutch of Reeves eggs ever,it was pretty cool.Another WaterlandTub success story, thanks Pete LOL

Based on the success as well as time constraints with the auto repair buisness, the only turtles we will sell are either what hatches here,or possible culls from the collection. As time progresses,we should have just about everything covered minus common redears.I used to buy the Rio Grand Redears from Al Weinberg, but now I have a group of around forty turtles on breeding loan to my good bud Louie in Lantana,Florida.I problably wont have any this year, but definately next year.We have decent size groups of many fairly common turtles like Razorbacks,Eastern Muds,Eastern Paints,Three Strip Muds,Western Paints,Southern Paints,Texas Cooters,Texas Maps, and a bunch of others.

So sit back and check the galleries regularly. As summer approaches I hope to ad an incredible amount of unorganized pictures from out collection. One day we will figure out a better system, but they call me TurtlePimp, not ComputerPimprazz

Take Care,Andy big grin

~ Turtle Availability ~
This year has been a wierd one turtle wise. The Rios have yet to hatch, and it would seem everything is taking its good old sweet time laying.I have had many requests for Rio Grand Redears, but have so far been unable to get any. This I think is due largely to the two hurricanes that greatly affected my supplier,Al Weinberg. He took direct hits from both Jeanne and Francis. We had a a bit of damage as well, but nothing like St.Lucie county did.Whie we all lost power and flooded,Al lost all of his shadecloth and suffered extensive property damage.I hope to visit him in the next few weeks to see what he has available. Most of his turtles are at least a month behind laying based on last years schedule. This season is starting out slow for us,but that is ok.We are working on setups, enclosures, and getting the garage dialed in so that when the 300 plus eggs we are cooking begin to hatch. So fat we only have three Redcheeks and three Yellowfoots out of the egg.
So hang tight, things will begin to happen soon.We try hard to privide turtles of excellent health and quality, but with our rediculous weather patterns the past year,it has been a challenge.TurtleTown is gone, but there are a few people I will stand behind 100%.These guys are decent breeders and resellers. Here is a short list:

Paul VanderSchow, also known as Chelidman on Kingsnake,TurtlesTimes,as well as TurtleForum.Paul is pretty much taking over where TurtleTown left off.Lots off cool captive bred turtles, and he knows what he is doing. He has one of the few collections I am envious of.
George Ullman, owner of TurtleWorld.Breeds many of the animals he sells.Another great guy in the hobby.
Pete Jansema, inventor and patent owner of WaterlandTubs.com.A turtle guy from wayback, breeds quite a few turtles.A truly good guy in the hobby. This guy has been keeping turtles longer than I have been alive

Anyone out there can sell you a turtle, but I recommend those above more so because they have collections.A person that keeps many turtles are generally better equipped with the knowledge of how to keep baby turtles. How many times have seen an example of overcrowding or simply wrong husbandry applications in petstores?Too many.I am in no way sauing I am getting out of selling offspring,I am just trying to regroup from two big storms, and a move.

So if anyone of these guys above have what you are looking for,do not hesitate to inquire. You can see their ads on many forums on the internet.

So hang in there for our stuff and we will see you in Daytona in August.

~ It's Been Awhile... ~
It's been awhile.A new house, two direct hit from hurricanes, and alot of turtles to move.Plus the fact we lived in our old house for ten years. It's been a trip.

Most of our setups are done.A couple of ponds dug,two more outdoor enclosures for tortoises and box turtles.Lots of work.Lot's of fun, lots of planning. The garage is up to par,and everything is looking good. All that is left in there is a rewire job to get rid of the splitters and extension cords. It will be great.

I would like to thank everyone who showed thier concern over the weather we have had the last couple of months.Lots of rain, alot of destruction, and no power for weeks. It sucked.I would like to thank everyone who has supported our endeavor.

Just a FYI,if there is something I dont have,Check out Paul AKA Chelidman.Paul is websiteless for now,but you can reach him at chelidman@tampabay.rr">chelidman@tampabay.rr.com. Paul are keeper/hobbyists just like me.He knows his stuff and I recommend him.
I am going to hold off on updating the Livestock page for a few weeks, but keep an eye out for my ads on Kingsnake and TurtleTimes classifieds.

~ Two Headed Redbelly ~
He's where my quote"some eggs I don't really know what they are".How about a two headed redbelly. The weirdest thing I have ever hatched out. He's doing pretty well, extremely active, and ate his fourth day of hatching.Defineatelt a challenge I might not take on.If he swims, basks,or is otherwise a normal turtle,he will become part of our collection. But there are those who enjoy turtles like this.We will see what the future has in store for these guys.

~ About Us ~

We have been keeping turtles for as long as I can remember. But with the advent of the Internet, our collection has grown to monstrous proportions. We keep over 400 turtles and tortoises in our personal collection.

We are located in sunny South Florida. Most of our turtles are kept outdoors year round. Most of our babies are born right here in Florida. We produce some and we also sell some of our friends offspring.

Generally we keep our babies for at least a month before offering them to ensure health. Plus it gets them further away fron the "failure to thrive" syndrome. No turtle is shipped that has not visibly grown in our eyes. Baby turtles can be tough, but with proper husbandry, most can reach adulthood.
